I saw the asking prices of the works in the Spring Exhibition. I do find it brazen to ask a half year’s wages for a painting during wartime. Frank Carmichael’s canvas is going for $600, Fred Varley’s for $500. Florence is only asking $200 for hers. Jim said I could have asked $500 each for my canvases.
